Dr. Sarah Baker is originally from Marietta, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Tusculum College located in the Smokey Mountains. She has an older brother and has a special love for miniature schnauzer as she had them growing up. At Tusculum she was a member of the women’s tennis team where she served as team captain her senior year. During her time there she won the Female Freshman of the Year Academic Award and was named a member of both the CoSIDA Academic All-district first team as well as the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. She also helped her team win two conference championships her freshman and senior year. After finishing her bachelor’s degree in Tennessee she attended Mississippi State University where she received her DVM. She achieved Fear Free Certification and is passionate about making sure every pet has a stress free enjoyable visit. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 6 years old and her professional interests include internal medicine and ophthalmology. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new restaurants.
